Trend spotted!

Ceramic stools are hot, hot, hot! See below some great ideas on HOW TO incorporate them into your home.

Love them in bathrooms to stack towels onto.

Why not use them around the kitchen or dining table?

They fill in the void space under a hallway table and hide unsightly cords and outlets.

Or use them in the entryway to sit down on, while you put your shoes on.

Or have it for no reason at all other than that it's pretty to look at.

It could certainly be useful beside a chair for books and coffee cups.

Or to replace the traditional side table beside a sofa or settee.

Well, in the meantime, a fresh new batch of atwork just arrived of Nautical images, architectrual photography of beautiful european travel destinations and summer florals.
Scroll down to see them all and pop into our store to pick up a piece of artwork or two for your home.

Are you thinking of revamping a room?

How does one start on this adventure? The first step is looking at the room and determining what you still like and want to keep. The next step is figuring out how you’d like the room to look and feel when it’s complete. Getting inspired on Houzz, Pinterest, décor magazines will help you through this process. Clip and save images of rooms that speak to you for a certain colour, style, or a cool piece of furniture.  You may find yourself being attracted to cool blues after years of loving reds and browns.  You just never know, let yourself be inspired. The best part of course is shopping for the components and pulling the look together for your space.

Pick up paint chips and flooring samples and start choosing your furniture pieces.  The fabrics on sofas, chairs are the soul in a room so be sure they reflect who you are. Neutrals are great for those who like to change things up frequently, but if you love geometric patterns, florals, toiles, why not experiment with them on chairs and toss pillows. Be bold and mix patterns together to get the designer look.

Don’t forget to budget for finishing touches such as lamps, mirrors, artwork and accessories, as they bring a room to life. Our favourite tip to clients is:  finish the entire redecorating project before you start working on the next one. That way you’ll enjoy the result of your hard work and it will inspire you to tackle the next room.
